ROM- The Cosmic Jukebox

Cover of ROM- The Cosmic Jukebox: Kite Flyers Dream

In a domed future city, QRS detective Johnny Archer investigates the death of trillionaire inventor Marvin Chai, found sprawled across his own cosmic jukebox. The companion piece, Kite Flyers Dream, follows Davis, a maintenance man at the Tofu Hot Dog Factory, through his daily routines.

My toes are hurting.

I’m not sure where to go, or what to do. Usually, when I can’t decide what to do, I just sit for a while, and think about what I want to do, versus what I have to do. If I’m lucky, I maybe made a list and now can follow something.

At other times, I just go, and find something that needs doing. There are always plenty of chores that need doing. Just look around.

“What are you waiting for?” That’s what I’m always screaming, in the roaring noise in my head that makes no room for silence. How can I continue, without any kind of plan other than random ram?

That’s the problem. Nothing to do, no where to go. Sit and sit, and wait. Time is nothing when you’ve got plenty of it, and everything when you don’t. Lucky for me I’ve got the automatic jukebox to keep me happy. Look at the time!
