Velocipede Dreams

Cover of Velocipede Dreams

A narrator recounts the journey of Marius, a tinkering inventor who builds the velocipede, a pedal-powered car run on solar, wind and hydrogen, and sets out west in it, picking up passengers along the way. Breakdowns, dreams and pages from Marius's notebook of green inventions fill this meandering, reflective tale.

Let me tell you about the crazy trip Marius took, when he rode out west on his velocipede. He met and picked up passengers wherever he went.

It was still quite a few years ago, and my memory is not full RAM, so you’ll have to bear with me, as I unspin this yarn in an analog fashion, if you will.

I’ll tell you the end right now to save time. Marius makes it all the way, but the velocipede does not.

Now that I’ve told you that, there’s no other distractions, and I can get on with it. I’m hoping you’ve heard of this thing, before. It was named after your ancestor’s fabulous four wheeled french invention some hundreds of years ago,by now.
